Confessions (Code Art Collaboration)

In collaborated with my peers, we installed an interactive confessional website installation that projects real time confessions in the space. Utilized Raspberry Pi technology to link anonymous confessions to be printed and displayed on a mini thermal receipt printer.

Through collaboration, several of my peers and I wanted to facilitate anonymous confessions that would be printed in a gallery space. Our concept was to utilize mobile devices to network with individuals in non-conventional ways through common technology. Our inspiration was based on the idea of individuals that seek out forgiveness by confessing their sins at a confession booth. By using mobile devices, individuals can us a flyer with our QR code to website in which they can submit their personal confessions anonymously. The confession is then trans-coded to a Raspberry Pi connected to a receipt printer. Thus, it is printed along one long spool of anonymous confessions in a gallery space.
